Matthew 10:1, 5-11:1, Sending Out the Twelve

And summoning His twelve disciples He gave them authority over dirty pneumata so as to toss them out and to heal every disease and every weakness. … Yeshua sent these twelve out having given them instructions saying, “Don’t depart onto the road of the other people groups, and don’t enter into a city of the Samaritans. Yet go rather to the destroyed sheep of the house of Yisra’el. And going, preach saying, “The kingdom of the heavenly realms is right here.” Heal those ill, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, toss out demons. You received without cost, give without cost. Don’t acquire gold, neither silver, nor copper for your belts. Not a backpack for the road, neither two shirts, nor shoes nor stick; because the worker is worthy of his food. And into which city or village you should enter, scrutinize who in it is worthy; and make your home there until you would leave. And entering into the house embrace it; and if the house should in fact be worthy, let your shalom come upon it, and if it should not be worthy, let your shalom return to you. And whoever should not welcome you nor should hear your words, when you leave outside shake off the dirt of that house or that city from your feet. Amen I tell you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of decision than for that city.

Look, I am sending you out like sheep in the middle of wolves; become then mindful like snakes and uncontaminated like pigeons. And be on your guard against human beings; because they will hand you over to Sandhedrins and they will scourge you within their synagogues; and you will be led up to leaders and kings because of Me for a testimony to them and to the other people groups. And when they should hand you over, don’t worry how or what you should say; what you should say will be given to you at that time; because you aren’t the one talking but the Pneuma of your Father is what is talking within you. And brother will hand over brother to death and father child, and children will stand up against parents and will put them to death. And you will be hated by everyone because of My name; yet this one continuing to the end will be rescued. And when they hunt you in this city, flee into the other; because amen I tell you, you will not complete the cities of Yisra’el at all up til Bar-Enash would come.

There isn’t a disciple beyond his teacher neither a slave beyond his owner. It is enough for the disciple that he should become like his teacher and the slave like his owner. If they called the master of the house Ba’al-Zebul by how much more those of his household?

Don’t panic about them then; because there is nothing having been covered up which won’t be revealed and hidden which won’t be made known. What I am telling you in the darkness speak in the light, and what you hear whispered into the ear preach from the tops of houses. And don’t panic about the one killing the body, yet not being capable of killing the breath of life1; and panic more about the one being capable of destroying both breath of life and body in the Valley of Hinnom. Aren’t two sparrows sold for an assarion? And one of them doesn’t fall upon the ground without your Father. And the hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t panic then; you are different from many sparrows.

Don’t think that I came to toss peace upon the land; I didn’t come to toss peace but a single edged sword. Because I came to divide in two a human being against his father and a daughter against her mother and a bride against her mother-in-law and a human being’s enemies are the members of his house.

The person having affection for a father or mother over Me is not worthy of Me, and the person having affection for son or daughter over Me is not worthy of Me; and the person who doesn’t accept the means of his own execution2 and follow behind Me is not worthy of Me. The person finding his breath of life will destroy it, and the person having destroyed his breath of life because of Me will find it.

The person welcoming you welcomes Me, and the person welcoming Me welcomes the One having sent Me out. The person welcoming a prophet for the name of a prophet will get the pay of a prophet, and the person welcoming a person who is right for the name of a person who is right will get the pay of a person who is right. And whoever just gives one of these little ones a cup of something cold to drink for the name of a disciple, amen I tell you, he will not destroy his pay at all.”

And it happened when Yeshua finished instructing His twelve disciples, He transitioned from there to teach and preach in their cities.
